Terms of Service
Last updated: May 2026
Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using Luxydog. By accessing or using our Platform (luxydog.app and all related services, tools, and features), you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our Platform.
These Terms of Service constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Luxydog Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales ("Luxydog", "we", "us", "our").
1. About Luxydog
Luxydog is a digital dog care platform that provides AI-powered health tools, vet consultation booking, a dog health profile system, health reminders, a training coach, behaviour analysis, nutrition planning, emergency guidance, insurance information, a community forum, and a marketplace for dog-related products and services.
Luxydog is a technology platform. We are not a veterinary practice and we do not provide veterinary services directly. The AI tools on our Platform provide general information and guidance only, they are not a substitute for professional veterinary diagnosis or treatment. Please read our Disclaimer carefully.
2. Eligibility and Account Registration
To create an account and use Luxydog, you must be at least 18 years of age and a resident of jurisdiction where our services are available. By creating an account, you confirm that all information you provide is accurate, current, and complete, and that you will keep it updated. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. If you suspect unauthorised access to your account, you must notify us immediately at hello@luxydog.app.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, that we believe are being used fraudulently, or where we reasonably believe the account holder is not who they claim to be.
3. Our AI Tools โ Important Limitations
Luxydog offers the following AI-powered tools, each with important limitations that you must understand before use:
3.1 AI Symptom Checker
The Symptom Checker analyses the symptoms you describe and provides a general assessment with urgency guidance. It does not diagnose your dog and cannot account for factors that a physical examination would reveal. It must not be used as the sole basis for a medical decision.
3.2 Image Health Scanner
The Image Scanner analyses photos you upload and provides observations about visible conditions. It cannot replace a veterinary examination and may not identify conditions that are not visually apparent or that require laboratory testing. The quality of the assessment depends significantly on the quality of the image provided.
3.3 AI Behaviour Translator
The Behaviour Translator provides explanations of dog behaviour based on the description you provide. It cannot account for the full context of your dog's environment, history, or emotional state. For serious behaviour problems, particularly aggression, we strongly recommend working with a qualified dog behaviourist in person.
3.4 AI Training Coach
The Training Coach provides general training advice based on positive reinforcement principles. Every dog is different and training results cannot be guaranteed. For dogs with serious behavioural issues or for complex training goals, we recommend working with an in-person, qualified trainer.
3.5 Feeding & Nutrition Planner
The Feeding Planner provides general nutritional guidance based on the details you enter. Dogs with health conditions (diabetes, kidney disease, allergies, and others) should have their diet managed in consultation with a veterinary professional or veterinary nutritionist. The caloric estimates provided are guides only โ individual dogs may require adjustments.
3.6 Emergency First Aid Guide
Our Emergency First Aid Guide provides general first aid information to help stabilise your dog before reaching emergency veterinary care. It is not a substitute for emergency veterinary treatment. In any life-threatening situation, you should contact a veterinarian immediately. Do not delay seeking emergency care in order to consult this guide.
By using any of our AI tools, you acknowledge that they provide general information only, that they are not a substitute for professional veterinary advice, and that Luxydog accepts no liability for decisions made based solely on AI tool outputs.
4. Vet Consultations
Luxydog connects you with independent veterinary professionals registered with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) who offer online consultations. When you book a consultation through Luxydog, you are entering into a service agreement with the veterinary professional, not with Luxydog. Luxydog's role is to facilitate the booking and payment process only.
Luxydog does not employ veterinarians and is not responsible for the veterinary advice given during consultations. Each veterinary professional on our Platform is responsible for their own professional conduct, advice, and obligations under RCVS standards.
Online veterinary consultations have limitations. Vets cannot prescribe certain medications without a prior in-person examination. For emergency situations, always seek in-person emergency veterinary care rather than booking an online consultation.
5. Marketplace
The Luxydog Marketplace allows third-party sellers and Luxydog to sell dog-related products including food, supplements, toys, grooming products, clothing, gifts, courses, and services.
For buyers: When you purchase from a third-party seller on the Marketplace, your contract for the sale is with the seller, not with Luxydog. Luxydog is not the seller and is not responsible for the quality, safety, legality, or delivery of products sold by third-party sellers. However, we do require all sellers to comply with our Seller Policy and UK consumer law, and we investigate complaints about sellers promptly.
For sellers: To sell on the Luxydog Marketplace, you must create a seller account and agree to our Seller Terms. You must be legally permitted to sell the products you list, your products must comply with all applicable UK laws and regulations, and you must fulfil orders in a timely manner. Luxydog charges a commission on all sales, the current commission rate is displayed in your seller dashboard. We reserve the right to remove listings or suspend seller accounts that violate our policies.
Affiliate products: Some products and links on our Platform are affiliate recommendations. This means Luxydog may earn a commission if you click the link and make a purchase. Affiliate links are clearly identified. The commission we earn does not affect the price you pay.
6. Premium Subscription
Luxydog offers a Premium subscription at ยฃ7.99 per month or ยฃ59.99 per year. Premium members get access to unlimited AI tool usage, additional dog profiles, unlimited reminders, and other premium features. The full list of premium features is available on our Premium page.
Premium subscriptions are billed in advance. By subscribing, you authorise Luxydog to charge your payment method on a recurring basis at the applicable subscription rate until you cancel. You can cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, we do not offer pro-rata refunds for partial periods unless required by law. After cancellation, you retain access to premium features until the end of the period you have paid for.
7. Payments and Refunds
All payments on Luxydog are processed by Stripe, a PCI DSS compliant payment processor. We do not store your full payment card details. For subscription billing disputes or marketplace order issues, please contact us at hello@luxydog.app.
Vet consultations: Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the scheduled consultation are eligible for a full refund. Cancellations within 24 hours of the consultation may not be refunded at the vet's discretion. If a vet cancels, you will receive a full refund.
Marketplace orders: Refund policies for marketplace products are set by individual sellers. Sellers must comply with UK consumer law including the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, which gives you the right to cancel most online purchases within 14 days.
