Founded by dog lovers who were frustrated with the fragmented, expensive, and often confusing world of pet healthcare, Luxydog was built to solve a simple but deeply felt problem: you notice something off about your dog, a limp, a rash, an unusual behaviour and you have no idea whether it's serious or not. You either panic and rush to the vet (spending hundreds of pounds), or you wait, worry, and hope for the best. Neither option is good enough. We built Luxydog to give you a smarter third option.

We are registered in England and Wales as Luxydog Ltd, and we operate entirely from the United Kingdom. Our platform is designed specifically for UK dog owners, with UK vets, UK pricing, UK insurance providers, and advice that reflects UK law and veterinary standards.

The tool analyses your dog's symptoms against a vast veterinary knowledge base and gives you a clear urgency rating: is this something to monitor at home, something to book a vet appointment for within the week, or something that needs immediate emergency care? The Symptom Checker is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and works even in the middle of the night when your regular vet is closed.

🔬 Image Health Scanner

The Image Health Scanner uses GPT-4o vision AI to analyse photos of your dog's skin conditions, eye discharge, ear redness, wounds, paw problems, and other visible health concerns. Simply upload a clear photo, select the body area you're concerned about, and our AI will provide a detailed assessment including possible conditions, urgency level, and recommended actions. This is particularly useful for skin conditions, lumps, and wounds where a visual assessment is needed.

🐕 Behaviour Translator

Dogs can't tell us what they're feeling, but their behaviour tells us everything, if you know how to read it. Our Behaviour Translator takes plain-language descriptions of your dog's behaviour (eating grass, tail chasing, sudden aggression, hiding under the bed, licking excessively) and translates them into clear, expert explanations. You'll learn what emotion or need is driving the behaviour, whether it's something to be concerned about, and exactly what to do about it.

🎓 AI Training Coach

Our AI Training Coach is a conversational training advisor that you can ask anything about dog training. Whether you're teaching a puppy basic commands like sit and stay, trying to solve a problem behaviour like pulling on the lead, dealing with separation anxiety, or working on advanced training, the Training Coach provides personalised, step-by-step guidance tailored to your dog's breed, age, and specific situation. It uses positive reinforcement methods exclusively and is available 24/7.

🍖 Feeding & Nutrition Planner

Nutrition is one of the most important factors in your dog's long-term health, yet it's one of the most confusing areas for owners. Our Feeding & Nutrition Planner calculates your dog's daily caloric needs based on their breed, age, weight, activity level, and health conditions, then generates a personalised feeding plan including daily food amounts, meal frequency, recommended food types, key nutrients to look for in their food, and foods to avoid. It even accounts for whether your dog is neutered and any health conditions like diabetes or allergies.

💉 Vaccine & Medication Reminders

Keeping track of your dog's vaccination schedule, flea treatments, worming treatments, and regular medications is harder than it sounds, especially if you have multiple dogs or a busy life. Our vet directory connects you with RCVS-registered UK veterinary professionals who offer online consultations via video call, phone, or text chat. Browse vet profiles, read reviews, check availability, and book a consultation all without leaving the house. Our vets can help with health queries, prescription advice, post-surgery check-ins, second opinions, and much more. Pricing is transparent and displayed upfront, and consultations can often be booked same-day.

🚨 Emergency First Aid Guide

Our Emergency First Aid Guide provides instant, clear first aid instructions for 14 common dog emergencies including breathing difficulties, seizures, severe bleeding, heatstroke, poisoning, choking, bloat, and more. For each emergency, you get step-by-step instructions on what to do and critically what NOT to do, along with UK emergency contact numbers including the Animal Poison Line. This guide is designed to be used in the critical minutes before you can reach a vet.
